Area Residents Can Win Fully Loaded Golf Cart As Part Of "Fill The Pool" Fundraiser

The City of Aurora is about $145,000 short of meeting their $1 million fundraising goal.

(Aurora, Ind.) – Area residents can win a fully loaded golf/utility cart by supporting the City of Aurora’s “Fill the Pool” fundraiser.

Last Friday, the City broke ground on the Aurora Family Aquatic Center at Aurora City Park.

The City has financed $2.5 million towards the building of the pool, but a one-million dollar fundraising goal to help bring some exciting amenities to the future pool is about $145,000 away from being met - most of which could be covered by a potential grant.

On Wednesday, the City of Aurora announced that it is not too late to purchase tickets for the chance to win a fully loaded golf/utility cart that retails for $9,199

Tickets are $5 each or five for $20.

Community members may also purchase tickets for a chance to win a homemade wooden Aurora box filled with Bicentennial souvenirs, and a handmade quilt pieced by Sue Turner and quilted by Gloria Hightower.

Tickets may be purchased by calling 812-926-1100, emailing mainstreet@aurora.in.us stop, or at the Main Street Aurora office, 231 Main Street, open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, check, Venmo, Paypal, etc.

All proceeds support the Aurora Family Aquatic Center.

The winning ticket will be draw during the next City Council meeting on Tuesday, October 12. You do not have to be present to win.
