Batesville Archery Teams Win Overall Champion at NASP State Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS – Archers from around the state converged in Indianapolis on Saturday for the Indiana NASP State Tournament.

Teams from Batesville, Milan, South Dearborn, and South Ripley schools were among the participants in the NASP State Bullseye and 3D tournaments.

Batesville teams did very well by placing first in three divisions, and top 3 in two other divisions.

Batesville High School finished first out of 28 teams in the Bullseye Tournament. The Bulldogs had a total score of 3411 with 212 tens. Lydia Haskamp was the top female performer across all divisions with a score of 293 (23 tens). Other top performers included Lillian Eckstein (290), Quinten Sarringhaus (290), Kayden Weiler (286), and Cole Brougher (285).

South Dearborn High School finished 21st, while Milan High School was 25th.

Batesville Middle School was first out of 41 teams in the middle school division. Varshath Rajesh was the top middle school performer at the competition with a 288 (21 tens). Grace Magee (284) and Gracie Doll (283) each ranked in the top 5.

South Dearborn Middle School placed 21st and South Ripley was 22nd.

The top team in the elementary division was Batesville Intermediate School. Rebecca Siebert was 3rd among all elementary girls with a score of 270. Levi Trenkamp (268) and Bruce Li (267) placed in the top 10 among elementary boys.

Dillsboro Elementary finished in 9th place.
