Fire trucks aren't cheap. Luckily, the Osgood Volunteer Fire Department is getting a big hand in purchasing a new one.

(Osgood, Ind.) - A generous gift will help pay for the Osgood Volunteer Fire Department’s new fire truck.
Fire Chief Kyle Negangard says he has received word that the Gilmore and Golda Reynolds Foundation has awarded $250,000 to the fire department for the new truck. The truck could be in service starting next year, replacing the department’s current 1988 truck.
Negangard says the Town of Osgood is kicking in $10,000 a year to help pay off the remaining balance of the truck. The volunteer fire department will also continue fundraising until the truck is fully paid for.
In June, the fire department formed a committee to begin researching a new fire truck and financing the purchase.
