ICYMI: 1st Annual Cruising For Cromer Fundraiser Happens July 28

(Manchester, Ind.) – An upcoming event will honor the memory of a local boy who left behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and positivity. 

 

The 1st annual Cruising for Cromer Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, July 28 at the Manchester Fire Department #2 from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The event is set up in the name of Brandon Tyler Cromer, of Aurora, who tragically passed away at the age of 17 in February 2016.

Any Jeep, side-by-side, truck, or off-road vehicle can join the 70-mile ride through the back roads of Dearborn and Ripley counties.

 

Pre-registration cost is $20 through July 1 and includes two meal tickets. Cost then increases to $25. Those who don’t want to participate in the ride are invited to enjoy a meal at the Fire Department for $8 beginning at 5:00. Event t-shirts will also be available for $10.

 

All proceeds will benefit the Brandon Tyler Cromer Memorial Scholarship that has been set up as part of the Dollars for Scholars program at South Dearborn High School.

 

The $500 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who has helped others during their high school career and left a positive impact on the life of other.  

 

The Cruising for Cromer event will also feature a DJ, silent auctions, party inflatables, Plug’s Sweet Tooth popcorn, Kona Ice and more.
