(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A Lawrenceburg High School baseball star will play at the collegiate level.

Ethan Weimer signed his letter of intent on Monday to continue his academic and athletic career at Indiana University Southeast.

Weimer starred for the Tigers as a shortstop and pitcher.

At the plate this season, Weimer hit .406 with 15 RBIs, 11 stolen bases, and 35 runs scored.

He went 4-0 on the mound with a 1.38 ERA and 44 strikeouts over 20.1 innings.

Weimer joins an IU Southeast team that just completed a historic run to the NAIA World Series, reaching the quarterfinals in their first ever appearance.
