Switzerland County Boys Win ORVC Cross Country Championship

The race was held on Saturday at Southwestern (Hanover).

(Hanover, Ind.) – The Ohio River Valley Conference held their Boys and Girls Cross Country Championship on Saturday at Southwestern (Hanover).

The host Lady Rebels held off Switzerland County for the ORVC Title by a score of 27-31.

Southwestern freshman Savannah Nussbaum was the individual champion with a time of 20:57.8.

Switzerland County had four runners place in the top 10. They are Amber Detmer (3rd), Kaylynn Schaefer (4th), Ellie Keith (6th), and Jazmyn Blevins (9th).

Other notable runners are Rising Sun freshman Kynnadi Hartley (10th), Milan sophomore Hannah Cooney (13th) and South Ripley senior Elizabeth McKittrick (15th).

Switzerland County took home the ORVC Boys Title. Cooper Hon was the Pacers top finisher at 3rd overall (18:06.8).

Landon Gross (6th) and Cale Collier (7th) also finished in the top 10.

Milan junior Gabe Riehle was the individual winner with a time of 16:27.9. Lucas Cooney was 2nd and Nathan Voss was 5th for the Indians.

Rising Sun’s top runner was senior Casey Fletcher (4th). South Ripley sophomore Mason Bascom placed 9th.
