South Ripley's Sensational Sophomore Samples Is POTW

Cody Samples is the Ohio River Valley Conference Player of the Week for February 4-9.

(Versailles, Ind.) – Scoring 39 points in two games has earned South Ripley High School’s Cody Samples the honor of being the latest Ohio River Valley Conference Boys Basketball Player of the Week.

Samples, a sophomore, had a combined line of 39 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and four steals in South Ripley’s two wins over Seymour and South Dearborn on February 7 and 8.

The Raiders' star guard is second in the ORVC in scoring this season. His 16.4 points per game are second only to Southwestern’s Tyler Kramer with 20.4 points per contest. Samples does lead the conference in three pointers made with 59.
