Softball Cycle, Record-Breaking Performances Highlight ORVC Report

(Milan, Ind.) - Seven student athletes from the Ohio River Valley Conference have earned weekly honors.

The ORVC Report for May 5-10 was released on Tuesday.

Milan's Noah Morgan and Jac-Cen-Del's Neil Sullivan have been named the ORVC Baseball Players of the Week. Morgan totaled 10 hits, 7 runs, 7 RBI, 2 doubles, a triple and 2 stolen bases in five games. Sullivan earned weekly honors by going 2-0 on the mound, striking out 15 batters and allowing one earned run in 11 innings pitched.

The ORVC Softball Player of the Week is Bri Stow. The Switzerland County star collected 10 RBI, 9 hits, 8 SB, 7 runs, 2 doubles, 2 triples, and a HR in three games, including hitting for the cycle versus Austin.

Bryce Weber (Southwestern), Gabe Riehle (Milan), Alexa Yeomans (South Ripley), and Madison Spillman (Switzerland County) are the ORVC Track & Field Performers of the Week.

Riehle set a school record in the 400 meter with a time of 50.82. Weber now holds the Southwestern school record in the discus with a throw of 154'7". Yeomans set a meet record in the high hurdles with a time of 14.80.
