SD's Cornett Commits to Play Softball at Wilmington College

(Aurora, Ind.) – A South Dearborn High School softball star will continue her academic and athletic career at the collegiate level.

Senior Kori Cornett recently signed her letter of intent to play softball at Wilmington College.

Cornett is expected to be one of South Dearborn’s top players this spring. She is a three-year letter winner and two-time All-EIAC selection.

As a junior, Cornett led the Lady Knights with a .500 batting average in 99 plate appearances. She was also among the team leaders in RBIs (27) and runs (28).

In the pitching circle, Cornett went 4-6 with a 4.91 ERA, striking out 63 batters over 61.1 innings.

Cornett also stars in the classroom as a three-year scholar award winner.
