Rising Sun Softball Star Commits to Ball State

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Ryan Works has two more years of high school softball, but she already knows where she wants to play collegiately.

The Shiners star recently committed to Ball State University.

Works did not take long to make a name for herself.

As a freshman, she hit .440 with nine home runs and 33 RBI. She had an even better season as a sophomore increasing her batting average to .506 with 10 home runs and 35 RBI.

Works has a career on-base percentage is .538, and a slugging percentage of .948.

With Works in the lineup, Rising Sun has gone 45-8 the past two seasons, winning ORVC and sectional titles in back-to-back seasons.
