NKU Plucks Hans from Thomas More to Lead Women's Basketball Program

Hans led the Saints to three national championships in 13 seasons.

(Highland Heights, Ky.) – Northern Kentucky University did not have to look far for their new women’s basketball head coach.

Vice President and Director of Athletics Christina Roybal announced today the hiring of Jeff Hans.

Hans returns to NKU after serving as an assistant coach from 2008-2011 and a graduate assistant from 2001-02.

For the past 13 years, Hans has led the Thomas More women’s basketball team. During that span, the Saints went 339-42 with eight regular-season conference titles, eight conference tournament championships, 11 national tournament berths, two NCAA Division III National Championships, and one NAIA National title.

He was three times the National Coach of the Year in 2016, 2019, and 2022.
