(Milan, Ind.) – Although his senior year was cut short due to injury, Milan quarterback David Carpenter will resume his playing career in college.
The Indians star recently signed his letter of intent to play football at Franklin College.
According to MaxPreps, Carpenter appeared in five games as a senior, totaling 355 yards passing, 117 yards rushing and two total touchdowns.
A year prior, Carpenter put up big numbers through the air with 1,388 yards and 20 TDs.
Carpenter’s coach, Ryan Langferman, told Eagle Country 99.3 on Friday that Carpenter is an extremely hard worker, never complains, leads by example and always stays after practice to get more throws.
“David hopes to become a teacher and a coach,” Langferman said. “He is empathetic and enjoys helping other. He is currently involved in a mentoring program at Milan Elementary School, as well as job shadowing at the YMCA. David volunteers to raise money for CF, is an active volunteer at St. Nicholas church and volunteers as a player coach for the local youth football program.”
