CROSS COUNTRY

Jac-Cen-Del and Lawrenceburg met for a dual cross country meet in Lawrenceburg Tuesday. JCD boys and girls won both races. JCD boys were led by Damon Hughes in first place at 18:42. Thirteen teams ran at the Connersville Spartan Cross Country Invitational on Tuesday, including East Central and Franklin County. EC boys placed fourth, led by Griffin Werner in 13th at 18:30. Franklin County boys were in ninth with Drew Grant the best Wildcat at 26th in 19:14. In the girls race, East Central was again fourth with Rachel Campbell placing eighth at 22:23. GIRLS SOCCER

South Dearborn 14, Rushville 0

Landmark Christian 6, Franklin County 1 – FC’s Jaime Stortz made a penalty kick.

Oldenburg Academy 5, Rising Sun 0 – OA’s Faith Sullivan made three goals. Kat Wilder and Leila Savage also found the net for the Twisters.

Southwestern 0, Switzerland County 0 – tie

 

 

VOLLEYBALL

East Central 3, Lawrenceburg 1 – 25-19, 25-18, 16-25, 29-27 – Lawrenceburg’s Cora Taylor racked up 21 kills, 13 assists, 10 digs and 2 blocks in the loss.

Rising Sun 3, South Dearborn 2 – 20-25, 25-19, 23-25, 25-17, 15-8

Milan 3, Shawe Memorial 0 – 25-6, 25-17, 25-13
