BOYS BASKETBALL

 

IHSAA 3A Sectional 29 at Greensburg – First Round

Greensburg 68, Madison 50 – Greensburg (23-1) advances to play South Dearborn (8-15) in the sectional semi-final round on Friday, March 1.

 

IHSAA 2A Sectional 45 at South Ripley – First Round

Milan 62, South Decatur 56 – Milan (13-11) advances to meet North Decatur (14-8) in the sectional semi-final round on Friday, March 1.

Southwestern (Hanover) 81, Switzerland County 62 – Switzerland County was led by Landon Wilkins with 18 points and Damian Breeck with 17. But Southwestern’s Foster Mefford scored 24 and Hunter Mefford had 22. 2A #1 Southwestern (23-1) advances to play South Ripley (10-13) in the sectional semi-final round on Friday, March 1. Switzerland County’s season ends with a 7-17 record.

 

IHSAA 1A Sectional 60 at Southwestern (Shelbyville) – First Round

Morristown 57, Rising Sun 56 – Eagle Country 99.3 Feature Game – Morristown’s Logan Laster scored the go-ahead bucket on a drive in the paint inside the final 20 seconds. Rising Sun had a couple last-second three point attempts, but couldn’t make either of them. Wesley Rider scored 18 for Rising Sun while TJ Manifold had 16 points off the bench. Laster led all scorers with 26 points. Rising Sun’s season ends with a 10-13 record. Morristown advances to play Southwestern (Shelbyville) in the semifinals on Friday, March 1.
