LHS Girls Soccer Program In Quarantine After Positive COVID-19 Test

Games within the next 14 days will be cancelled. No makeup dates have been announced at this time.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – All girls soccer players at Lawrenceburg High School are being required to quarantine after a team member tested positive for COVID-19.

The announcement was made in a letter to parents and guardians on Tuesday.

In the letter, Superintendent Karl Galey said any varsity or junior varsity player that attended and participated in practice on Monday, August 24 is being directed by the Indiana State Department of Health and Dearborn County Health Officer to quarantine for the next 14 days.

Testing is recommended but not required.

Those who test negative must remain quarantined for 14 days under Dearborn County Health Department requirements. Anyone who tests positive, may return after at least 10 calendar days have passed since symptoms first appeared or the date of a test.

The scheduled return date for all girls soccer players is September 8.

Parents and players are urged to watch for symptoms of COVID-19.

Below is a list of the symptoms impacting consideration for exclusion:

  • Fever (100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or greater)
  • Chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of Breath or Difficulty Breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or Body Aches
  • Headache
  • New Loss of Taste or Smell
  • Sore Throat
  • Congestion or Runny Nose
  • Nausea or Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
