(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Lawrenceburg High School senior Kelsey Offutt will play not one, but two sports at the collegiate level.

On Thursday, Offutt signed her letter of intent to play soccer and tennis at Indiana University East.

On the tennis court, Offutt has contributed at the varsity level dating back to 2022. She most recently helped the Lady Tigers capture an EIAC Championship last spring

She ended up missing her senior soccer season due to a knee injury, but stayed with the team every step of the way to winning the Class 2A State Championship.

"It was hard all season, and I thought after I tore it that I wasn't going to come back, but I liked being with the team more than I didn't," said Offutt during a past episode of Crunch Time

Following the state championship game, Offutt was named the Mental Attitude Award recipient. The award is presented by the IHSAA Executive Committee to a senior who best demonstrates excellence in mental attitude, scholarship, leadership and athletic ability during their high school career.

"Winning it was emotional for me because I wanted to play so bad, but I am proud of them and I'm proud of myself for sticking with it," Offutt added.

Prior to her senior season, Offutt was an All-EIAC selection as a sophomore and junior, in addition to Second Team All-District as a junior.

In 2024, Offutt was named a Rising Star of Indiana Class of 2025. The recognition goes to juniors based on their academic achievement.
