Kori Cornett Named OAC Athlete of the Week

(Westerville, Oh.) - Kori Cornett is making a name for herself. 

For the first time in her collegiate career, she has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Athlete of the Week for her performance in doubleheaders against Bluffton and Hanover. 

Cornett, a sophomore outfielder at Wilmington College, hit .836, with 10 of 11 hits being singles in 16 plate appearances. She drove in five runs, scored seven times and added a stolen base. 

For the season, Cornett leads the OAC with a .645 batting average to go along with 12 runs scored, five doubles and nine RBI.
