(Osgood, Ind.) – Paige Leford’s playing days are far from over.

The Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles basketball star signed her letter of intent on Tuesday to continue her academic and athletic career at Thomas More University.

The Saints program has won the NCAA Division III National Championship three times since 2014 and finished as the national runner-up this season.

Thomas More will be getting a player that is a consistent double-double threat. For her high school career, Ledford totaled over 1,200 points and 1,000 rebounds. She is one of 13 players in Indiana history to accomplish the feat.

As a senior, Ledford averaged 14.8 points and 11.8 rebounds, helping JCD to a 22-4 record.

Her play garnered recognition on the national level. Ledford is one of 700 high school basketball players to be nominated for the annual McDonald’s All-American Game.

At Tuesday’s signing ceremony, Ledford was recognized for her McDonald’s All-American Game nomination, in addition to being awarded with the Ripley County Girls’ Basketball Excellence Award.

Ledford is expected to participate in the Hoosier Basketball Coaches Association’s Regional All-Star Game on April 25 at Barr-Reeve High School.
