Batesville Shines at Hoosier State Relays

Several local schools were represented at the indoor event on Saturday.

INDIANAPOLIS - Seven southeastern Indiana high schools had representation at the Hoosier State Relays.

The indoor track and field competition was held on Saturday at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Every event was filled with 24 competitors or relay teams with over 70 schools represented in the Small School Division (1A-3A).

Batesville, Franklin County, Lawrenceburg, Milan, South Dearborn and South Ripley competed in the Small School Division, while East Central was among the teams in the Large School Division.

Batesville had the most team success finishing 9th overall out of 45 scoring teams in the girls division, while the Batesville boys placed 30th.
