The cancellation goes for varsity, JV and freshman games.
(Harrison, Oh.) – Harrison’s next football game has been cancelled due to contact tracing.
The Harrison High School Athletic Department announced today that Friday’s game at Miamisburg will not be played. The JV and freshman games have also been called off.
No players are COVID-positive at the time, but several players are in quarantine including one entire position group.
The Harrison Athletic Department released the following statement:
"It is very disappointing that we will not be playing this Friday night or Saturday morning. Our heart goes out, first and foremost, to all Harrison and Miamisburg student-athletes who have been through so much since the pandemic began and worked so hard under difficult circumstances to prepare themselves to perform. They have done so well following protocols, but as we are finding out first-hand, playing football during this time continues to be a fragile situation. As always, the health, safety and welfare of our student-athletes, coaches and staff is our number one priority.”
