ITALY - Nick Goepper just missed medaling at the Winter Games on Friday.
Competing in the Men's Ski Halfpipe Finals, the 31-year-old Lawrenceburg finished fourth place with a score of 89.00 on his second run. Goepper's third and final run appeared to by gold medal worthy before he took a spill attempting a never-before tried trick at the end of his run.
He did walk off under his own power.
Goepper could be heard on the broadcast saying, "I have no regrets."
His teammate, Alex Ferreira took the gold with a score of 93.73.
Goepper is a three-time Olympic medalist. He captured a silver medal in the Slopestyle event at the 2022 Olympic Games Beijing and 2018 Olympic Games Pyeongchang. Goepper also took bronze in Slopestyle at the 2014 Sochi Games.
