Fourteen Named to 2023-24 ORVC Boys Basketball All-Conference Team

Southwestern won the conference title with a 6-0 record.

(Hanover, Ind.) – Fourteen basketball standouts have earned All-Conference honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference.

The 2023-24 ORVC Boys Basketball Awards were announced on Wednesday.

Conference champion Southwestern (Hanover) had the most all-conference selections with four. They are Peyton Cloud, Brady Cook, Landon Kidwell, and Jamison Lewis.

South Ripley was represented by Cole Henry and Blaine Ward. Together, the two make up one of the best duos in the region. Henry finished the regular season as the conference’s third-leading scorer (19.8 PPG) and second-leading rebounder (8.2 RPG). Ward was top 6 in scoring at 16.4 PPG and led the conference in assists with 70.

The Switzerland County duo of Cam Craig and Kadyn Riley earned all-conference honors. Craig was the ORVC’s leading scorer at 26.3 PPG and leading rebounder at 10.0 RPG.

Rising Sun’s Brody Morris (17.4 PPG) and Milan’s Micah Norman (14.8 PPG) and Gabe Riehle (12.2 PPG) were among the top scorers in the league that were selected as all-conference players.

The 2023-24 season saw numerous highlight moments including Cole Henry and Cam Craig eclipsing the 1,000-career point mark, and Shawe Memorial’s Philip Kahn breaking the school’s all-time scoring record.
