Former East Central Volleyball Star Named Assistant Coach at Navy

Congratulations to Josie Andres!

(St. Leon, Ind.) – A former East Central High School volleyball star as ascended to become a D-I coach.

Josie Andres was announced Thursday as an assistant coach at Navy.

Andres played collegiately at both Mount St. Joseph University and Ohio Northern. After graduating from Ohio Northern in 2019, Andres would complete her MBA at Otterbein in 2022.

She has spent the last two years coaching at Otterbein. During that time, Otterbein’s volleyball team went 43-9 including a trip to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA DIII Tournament.

At Navy, Andres will coach alongside head coach Paco Labrador and assistant coach Taylor van der Biezen.
