(St. Leon, Ind.) - Sophie Browndyke has had quite the high school career.

Not only is she a member of the National Honor Society, but she is also a talented athlete.

Last Friday, Browndyke signed her letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic career at Cedarville University, where she will join the women's soccer program.

Browndyke is a three-time All-EIAC selection, and a two-time EIAC Defensive MVP - winning the award as a junior and senior.

Over her four years at East Central, Browndyke helped the Lady Trojans to four consecutive EIAC championships, and two sectional titles.

Playing primarily as a defender, Browndyke still found a way to impact games offensively, finishing her career with 18 goals and 20 assists, according to Maxpreps.

Aside from starring on the soccer pitch, Browndyke took her talents to the gridiron, where she was a three-time all-conference selection as a kicker.

Browndyke connected on 157 of 174 extra point attempts, and made 14 of 19 field goal attempts, including a career-long 41-yard field goal during her senior season.

At Cedarville, Browndyke plans to major in Sports Psychology.
