EC, Lawrenceburg To Kick-Off Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown

The game will be played on new artificial turf at Trojan Field in St. Leon.

(St. Leon, Ind.) – A local high school football rivalry will kick-off the 2018 Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown.

The annual high school football showcase will feature 44 games and six defending state champions across the tri-state from August 17 through October 26.

One of those state champions, the East Central Trojans will host the Lawrenceburg Tigers on Friday, August 17. Not only will it be the opening game of the Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown, it will also be the first game on new artificial turf at Trojan Field.

The game can be heard on Eagle Country 99.3 at 7:30 p.m. Pre-game coverage will begin at approximately 7:10.

A handful of other area teams will participate in the Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown.

In northern Kentucky, Ryle will host defending state champion Covington Catholic on August 17. Conner and Cooper will clash on October 19.

Over in Ohio, Harrison will play host to Little Miami on October 5.
