East Central Duo, Milan TE to Team at North/South All-Star Classic

INDIANAPOLIS – Three high school football stars from southeastern Indiana will team up at the 58th annual Murat Shrine North/South All-Star Classic.

East Central offensive tackle Noah Schneider and running back Dylan Maxwell will be joined by Milan tight end Ethan Pierce on the South Team. East Central head coach Jake Meiners will serve on the South coaching staff.

Schneider and Maxwell played a pivotal role in the Trojans capturing a second straight state championship in Class 4A. The Trojans ran for 4,519 yards and 69 touchdowns behind an offensive line anchored by Schneider. Maxwell paired with Mr. Football Josh Ringer to make up a dynamic duo in the Trojans’ backfield. Maxwell finished the season with 729 yards and five touchdowns.

Both were named to the Class 4A Senior All-State Team.

Milan’s Ethan Pierce was also a Senior All-State Team selection in Class 1A. It was his second all-state selection. Pierce led his team with 160 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He made a tremendous impact as a blocker, helping pave the way for 3,141 rushing yards.

The All-Star Classic will be played on Friday, July 12 at Decatur Central High School in Indianapolis.
