Walker Smallwood will forever live in Dixie Heights sports lore.

(Fort Mitchell, Ky.) – It was a movie script come to life on a high school baseball field last week.
Dixie Heights High School pitcher Walker Smallwood took to the mound for the first time since recovering from cancer.
Just being on the mound was an accomplishment, but Smallwood's performance will never be forgotten at Dixie Heights. The lefty threw a no-hitter in a 7-0 win over Villa Madonna.
Not only did he not surrender a hit, but Smallwood struck out 19. The 19 strikeouts tied a school record set in 2017.
