Wind Advisory Issued for Tri-State Area

The National Weather Service says the strongest winds will occur between 3:00 and 7:00 PM.

(Wilmington, Oh.) – The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the tri-state area.

Winds of 15 to 25 MPH with wind gusts up to 45 MPH are expected this afternoon.

The Wind Advisory goes into effect today at noon and will last until 7:00 p.m. for portions of southeast Indiana, northern Kentucky, and southwest Ohio.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, and tree limbs could be blown down. Power outages are possible.

The NWS says the strongest winds will occur along and just behind the passage of a cold front between 3:00 and 7:00.
