Water Rescue Made on Laughery Creek

Multiple agencies responded to the scene on Sunday afternoon.

(Ohio County, Ind.) – It was a busy weekend for Dearborn County Water Rescue.

The agency was paged out to a stranded man on a houseboat on Laughery Creek on Sunday around noon.

Upon arriving at the scene, the houseboat was found stuck in ice.

Ohio County Fire and EMS and the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the successful rescue.

The incident was the third water rescue call of the weekend for Dearborn County Water Rescue.
