WalletHub: Cincinnati Among Best Cities For Staycation

A handful of regional cities made the Top 100 list.

(Undated) – Summer travel is expected to increase this year, but some might not be ready to venture too far from home.

WalletHub released their 2021 Best & Worst Cities for Staycations on Wednesday.

The personal finance website used 46 key metrics to determine their rankings, including recreation, food and entertainment, and rest and relaxation.

Regionally, Cincinnati ranked as the 10th best city in the country for a staycation. The Queen City received high marks in recreation and food and entertainment.

Cincinnati also ranked fifth for most swimming pools per capita.

Other regional cities that are among the best for staycations include:

  • Columbus, Ohio – 51st
  • Nashville, Tennessee – 52nd
  • Louisville, Kentucky – 79th
  • Lexington, Kentucky – 89th
  • Indianapolis, Indiana – 95th
