(Aurora, Ind.) - The Volunteers in Medicine of Dearborn, Ohio and Switzerland counties are ready to open their new clinic.
The clinic will be located at 107 Bridgeway Street in Aurora and will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. starting Wednesday, April 4.
The VIMDOS Clinic will serve uninsured or underinsured individuals making less than 275 percent of the federal poverty guidelines, and that live in Dearborn, Ohio or Switzerland counties. Patients will be required to provide proof of the circumstances before a follow-up appointment will be scheduled.
Services include:
- General primary care
- Treatment & Monitoring of Common Illnesses and Health Problems
- Health Education: nutrition, aging, safety, diabetes, hypertension, etc.
- Medication Education and Assistance
- Health Assessment and Screening
- Health Care Coordination and Navigation with a goal to connect to community resources
At VIMDOS, healthcare professionals and volunteers give their time freely to care for the community, and patients are never charged for their care. Healthcare services are paid for from donations and grants.
