VIDEO: Bengals DE Sam Hubbard Sends Thank You Message to Southwest Schools

The school district raised over $31K for Hubbard's foundation leading up to the Super Bowl.

(Harrison, Oh.) – Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Sam Hubbard is already training for the upcoming 2022 season, but that didn’t stop him from taking time to give thanks to the Southwest Local School District.

Hubbard sent a video message to the school district last week to thank those involved in raising over $31,000 for the Sam Hubbard Foundation.

“I just wanted to take a second and thank you for all of your support this past year. It was so fun to watch you guys crush your initial goal,” said Hubbard.

Southwest Local School District originally set a fundraising goal of $9,400. Not only would the funding go to a worthy cause to combat food insecurity in southwest Ohio, but students and staff at SLSD had the opportunity to earn a day off school following the Super Bowl.

It took only seven days for the fundraising total to surpass $31,000.

Hubbard says he is sending a signed jersey to SLSD, and he looks forward to working with the school district in the future.
