Vevay Meth Dealer Earns Prison Sentence

Bruce Thomas is going to spend a decade behind bars.

(Vevay, Ind.) - A Vevay man has been sentenced for Dealing in Methamphetamine.

Bruce Thomas, 61, was arrested last April after the Vevay Police Department and Indiana State Police served a search warrant at his home on Swiss Avenue.

Under a plea agreement with prosecutors, Thomas was convicted of Dealing in Methamphetamine (level 5 felony) and being a habitual offender. Under the agreement, several other drug and theft charges were dismissed.

Judge Gregory W. Coy sentenced Thomas in Switzerland County Court on October 22. The punishment is six years for the dealing charge. The habitual offender enhancement added another four years to his sentence, which he’ll spend in a state prison.

Thomas was given credit for 180 days served in jail prior to his sentencing.
