(Versailles, Ind.) - Versailles State Park will host the 13th annual Polar Plunge on Saturday, February 15, 2020.

“Freezin’ for a Reason!” is one of the most popular ways to raise awareness and money for the Special Olympics.

The Versailles Polar Plunge is 1 out of 16 plunges in the state of Indiana. This plunge raises funds specifically for the Ripley, Ohio, and Dearborn County area.

All proceeds from this event benefit our local Special Olympics athletes. The money raised will help fund the expenses of training locally and competing at state level Olympic-type sports.

You can participate in the "chills and thrills" in many different ways. Plunge by yourself or with a team! If you want thrills without the chills, you can be a virtual plunger or participate in the Polar Climb 5K Run/3K Walk.

To take a dip, plungers are required to raise a minimum of $75.

During the event you will find a heated festival tent with the Lions Club Food Court, the Razzle Dazzle Basket Raffle, face painting, games, and more. After the plunge, there will be an After Splash Bash.

For more information or to register for the event, you can visit the Polar Plunge website
