Versailles Fire Rescue Has Busy Week

Firefighters have responded to nearly 10 calls in the last two days.

(Versailles, Ind.) – It has been a busy couple of days for Versailles firefighters.

The agency has responded to nearly 10 calls since Wednesday including a structure fire on County Road 250 South.

Versailles firefighters were able to save the residence as the fire spread from a controlled burn to a pole barn, camper and surrounding wooded area. The pole barn was a complete loss.

On Thursday evening, firefighters responded to a camper fire at Wheelock Lake Campground.

No injuries were reported.
