(Southeast Indiana) - Visitors to Southeast Indiana will find lots of Valentine’s activities on the calendar this month, with several events planned in the coming weeks:

  • Kick off Valentine’s Day a little early this year at Lawrenceburg Main Street’s annual Chocolate & Wine Walk on February 9. Attendees will enjoy sweet treats, wine tastings, free carriage rides and more from 5:30-8:30pm in this quaint city located along the Ohio River in Southeast Indiana. Tickets for the Chocolate & Wine Walk are $15 apiece, with all proceeds donated to the Heart House. In addition, the first 200 guests at the door for registration the day of the event will receive a rose.
  • Plan to Get Wine(d) and Dine(d) in Downtown Aurora on Friday, February 16. Shop and sip your way through this charming small town known for its historic architecture and Ohio River setting. The free event will run from 5-9pm. Pick up a participant card at Main Street Aurora, 231 Main Street, Aurora.
  • Celebrate Valentine’s weekend February 16-17 at Holtkamp Winery & Vineyards, an estate winery previously named “Indiana’s “Farm Winery of the Year.” Relax in the winery’s comfortable tasting room, choose from a wide assortment of handcrafted vintages, then sample their homemade brick-oven pizza – a local favorite. Holtkamp’s Valentine’s weekend will take place Friday from 5-9pm and Saturday from 12-9pm, with live music featuring John Kinnemeyer & Tim Ryan taking place on Saturday from 6-9pm.
