(Batesville, Ind.) - Much of southern Indiana was without internet service Wednesday.
A utility crew digging in Seymour accidentally severed a fiber optics line, cutting internet and phone service to various areas at about 10:45 a.m., according to Frontier Communications.
The outage affected cities from Terre Haute to Seymour, and Batesville to Jasper.
Service remained out for some residents until after 7:00 last night.
