UPDATE: Three Dead in Stabbing at Walton Home

The incident took place Sunday night. A fourth victim was seriously injured.

Update published at 10:58 p.m.:

The deceased individuals are identified as Monique Pena, 31, Nikki Romero-Pena, 12, and Katie Farrell-Pena, 3. 

Matthew Farrell, 36, was the person airlifted to UC Medical Center with wounds to his torso, neck, and upper body. He has since been discharged from the hospital and is currently cooperating with the investigation.

(Boone County, Ky.) – Three people are dead in a stabbing in Walton.

Boone County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the incident in the 100 block of Overland Ridge on Sunday around 9:04 PM.

Upon arrival, deputies located two children and two adults with multiple stab wounds.

One of the victims was airlifted to UC Medical Center with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The remaining victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

The names of the victims have not been released at this time.

According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, the incident was isolated to the residence. Detectives do not believe that other suspects were involved, or that any suspects remain at large.

No other information has been provided at this time.

The incident remains under investigation.
