UPDATE: Car Hits Pole, Low Lines Closed 128

Update posted at 8:46 a.m.:

Nobody was injured in a crash on Ohio 128 near Hooven about 6:00 a.m. Friday morning.

A homeowner was leaving his driveway near Cilley Road when his car skidded into a power pole, said Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Steve Barnett.

The impact with the pole caused power lines to sag across the roadway. Barnett said cars could have passed beneath them, but there was concern about taller vehicles possibly striking the lines.

Ohio 128 was shut down for about 90 minutes while Duke Energy crews responded and raised the wires.
