(Franklin County, Ind.) - A portion of U.S. 52 will close at the beginning of August.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Department, U.S. 52 will close just west of Yellow Bank Road on August 1.

The duration of the closure will be approximately three months.

Since State Road 1 is still closed north of Brookville, the official detour will be north on State Road 101 to Liberty, west on State Road 44 to Connersville and south on State Road 121 back to U.S. 52.
