Two-State Police Chase Ends In Florence

The Tuesday morning chase began in Scott County, Kentucky, crossed into Cincinnati, then ended in Florence.

(Boone County, Ky.) - Charges are pending against the driver accused of leading police on an early morning chase across two states.

Scott County, Kentucky sheriff's deputies say it started on Interstate 75 when the alleged driver, 23-year-old Nathanael Druggan, of Lexington, swerved to avoid a deputy's cruiser. That deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver began to flee.

The chase spanned all the way into Cincinnati on Interstate 71/75 to Harrison Avenue, where the driver tried to elude officers on Interstate 74.

Despite flattened tires from police’s stop sticks, the vehicle led the chase which lasted more than two hours.

It ended around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday when Druggan crossed back into Kentucky. His vehicle came to a stop on I-71/75 southbound near the KY 18 exit in Florence. He was then taken into custody.
