UPDATE: Two Killed In Franklin County Mobile Home Fire Identified

The fire was reported Wednesday morning around 1:45.

The Indiana Department of Homeland Security has released the names of the victims that were killed in a mobile home fire on December 9 in Franklin County.

The deceased individuals are David Estridge, 56 (primary occupant), and Ron Emery, 50.

The fire remains under investigation and no additional information is available at this time.

 

Original story published December 9:

(Brookville, Ind.) – Two men were killed in a mobile home fire in rural Franklin County.

Firefighters responded to the home on the 4000 block of Riley Pike around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Indiana State Fire Marshal.

Upon arriving at the scene, the home was fully engulfed. Once the fire was extinguished, two men ages 57 and 50 were found deceased.

A third adult male, 39, was able to escape the blaze with minor abrasions and smoke inhalation. He was treated and released at the scene.

The names of the victims have not been released as final identification is pending from the Franklin County Coroner.

No foul play is suspected.

The fire remains under investigation.
