(Vevay, Ind.) - Switzerland County High School is celebrating students who are earning college degrees at the same time they get their high school diploma.
The high school says it has a record number of graduating seniors also receiving an associate degree from Ivy Tech Community College or a technical certificate.
Fifteen students are receiving either a Statewide Transfer General Education Core certificate. Three of those even earned an Associate of General Studies degree.
The general education core certificate allows those students to start college next fall with sophomore standing.
The high school says more students are expected to complete their degrees or certificates this summer.
