INDIANAPOLIS - Former small-business owner and current House District 68 State Representative Randy Lyness announced his candidacy to seek re-election in 2022. The newly redrawn House District 68 now contains all of Dearborn, Ohio, and Switzerland counties, and portions of Jefferson County.

“It’s an honor to represent House District 68 in the Indiana General Assembly. As a small business owner, I understand the importance championing proposals that bring growth and more high paying jobs to Southeast Indiana. I will continue to listen to my constituents and work toward solutions that benefit HD 68, as well as the state as a whole,” Lyness said in a statement.

“In the coming weeks and months, I look forward to having ongoing conversations with my constituents about how we can work together to improve the communities in Southeast Indiana,” Lyness concluded.

Randy Lyness is entering his seventh year as representative for House District 68 and previously served over 14 years as a Dearborn County Council. He is committed to common sense service to the citizens of House District 68 and the state of Indiana. Lyness is a lifetime resident of southeastern Indiana, where he and his wife Linda continue to call home. They have three sons and 12 grandchildren, all of whom live in Southeast Indiana.
