(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A Lawrenceburg youngster is a pretty nice shot.

Ten-year-old Macey Radenheimer will compete Saturday at the Indiana Knights of Columbus State Free Throw Championship in Noblesville, Indiana.

The St. Lawrence School 4th grader began the road to the state finals a couple months ago by winning the county free throw title. From there she went on to win the district title in Greensburg on February 4 and the regional championship in Scottsburg on February 19.

“She had this inseparable relationship with the ball and basket that day and shot 22 of 25 free throws,” said Macey’s mom, Shelby Radenheimer.

Only a 14-year-old boy competing at the Scottsburg regional made more shots from the charity stripe (23).

“Macey's basketball skills are already generating phone calls from high schools working to recruit her. Trust me, I was dumbfounded when I started getting them. It's crazy! She's in 4th grade,” Shelby said.

Macey will compete in her age division at the State Finals which will be held at St. Theodore Guerin High School in Noblesville from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday.
