Southeastern Indiana REMC Participated in Indiana’s Electric Cooperative Community Day

Indiana’s Electric Cooperative Community Day was held on Friday October 11.

(Osgood, IN) - Indiana’s Electric Cooperative Community Day was held on Friday October 11. Twenty-eight of Indiana’s electric cooperatives completed a project that addresses needs in their communities.

Southeastern Indiana REMC celebrated “Co-op Days” with a food drive, appreciation notes from the CEO, and member-focused events like the Community Day at Versailles State Park, Safety Night at the REMC, and a Mobile Mammography Program at the REMC.

With almost forty unique projects planned the initiative allowed cooperatives to use their time, skills, and resources to make a meaningful impact.

“A cooperative’s fundamental purpose is to serve its community,” said John Cassady, CEO of Indiana Electric Cooperatives. “Indiana’s Electric Cooperative Community Day is an opportunity for us to work collectively toward a shared goal—making a difference across the state. Supporting the communities we serve is at the heart of everything we do.”
