Southeast Indiana Robotics League Wraps Up 5th Successful Year

Two teams from Manchester Elementary will compete at the State Championship later this month.

(Aurora, Ind.) - The Southeast Indiana Robotics League concluded its 5th year with a thrilling final event on February 20th, 2024, hosted at Aurora Elementary School. This year's league saw a record number of 32 teams competing, showcasing their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through their robots.

Manchester Elementary Shines

The "Teamwork Champion Award (VIQRC)" went to both Manchester Shiners 1 and Manchester Shiners 2, both hailing from Manchester Elementary School in Aurora, Indiana. These two teams will advance to the 2024 Indiana Robotics State Championship held at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

Manchester Shiners 1 also received the "Robot Skills Champion (VIQRC)" award, demonstrating their robot's design, programming, and ability to complete the competition tasks efficiently.

Celebrating Innovation and Teamwork

Several other teams received well-deserved recognition for their unique contributions:

● Judges Award: Raider Robotics (Team 33907G) from South Ripley Junior High School

● Build Award: Milan Middle 1 (Team 11926A) from Milan Elementary School

● Create Award: Raider Robotics (Team 33907H) from South Ripley Junior High School

● Energy Award: Aurora Elementary 5th (Team 54143A) from Aurora Elementary School

● Design Award: St. Louis Team 11783B from St. Louis School

The Southeast Indiana Robotics League extends its deepest gratitude to the dedicated coaches and volunteers who make this program possible year after year. Their passion and commitment provide invaluable support to young minds and help foster a love for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields.
