South Dearborn Schools Moving To E-Learning Amid Staffing Issues

e-Learning starts Tuesday, November 17 and will run through December 7.

(Aurora, Ind.) - South Dearborn Community School Corporation is moving to e-Learning.

Superintendent Eric Lows says e-Learning will begin on Tuesday, November 17 and will last through December 7.

"Staffing concerns have ultimately led to this decision," said Lows. "The ability to secure adequate staffing to education, supervise, clean and feed our students has been an ongoing challenge. We encourage the South Dearborn Community to continue to be vigilant against the spread of Covid-19 by washing hands, wearing a mask, and social distancing when possible. During the break, extensive cleaning will be taking place at all buildings."

Food service will begin on Wednesday at each of the corporation’s four elementary schools. The pickup times will be from 10 AM to 6 PM on November 18th and 30th

All sports and extracurricular activities will continue as scheduled.
