(Dearborn/Ripley County, Ind.) - A portion of State Road 48 will close next week.
Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Dave O'Mara Contractor, Inc. plans to close State Road 48 for two small structure replacement projects between State Road 129 and State Road 148 in Dearborn and Ripley counties.
Work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 5.
State Road 48 will close to traffic approximately three miles east of State Road 129 in Ripley County. The closure is expected to last up to 16 days, weather permitting. Traffic will be routed along the official detour, which follows State Road 129 to State Road 350 to State Road 101.
The second closure is scheduled to begin on or after Tuesday, September 26, approximately 2.9 miles east of State Road 101 in Dearborn County. This closure is slated to last up to 39 days, weather permitting. The official detour follows 101 to 350 to 148.
