A year ago, schools were figuring out how to navigate a global pandemic.
(Harrison, Oh.) – Southwest Local School District is celebrating a clean bill of health.
This week, the school district announced zero COVID-19 cases district-wide for the first time this school year.
In a news release, SLSD thanked students and families for continuing to follow the protocols in place, such as masking up, washing and sanitizing hands, and staying home when sick.
The school district acknowledged that they aren’t out of the woods just yet in terms of seeing positive COVID-19 cases, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Vaccinations have become more readily available for an increasing number of Ohioans. Starting today, anyone ages 40 and up and those with cancer, chronic kidney disease, COPD, heart disease or obesity may register to receive the vaccine.
Ohio is expected to open eligibility to anyone 16 and older on March 29.
